Housing Authority of the Birmingham District
Tuxedo Court

The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) invites you to participate in its upcoming public meetings.  The meetings will be held at Ruby Williams Community Center.  The Center is located on 2015 Ave Q Ensley Birmingham, AL 35218.  The meetings will be held on each of the following dates:

• November 20, 2003, 5:30 P.M. (Resident Training)
• December 3, 2003, 5:30 P.M. (Public Meeting #1)
• December 10, 2003, 5:30 P.M. (Public Meeting #2)
• December 17, 2003, 5:30 P.M. (Public Meeting #3)
• January 7, 2004 5:30 P.M. (Public Meeting #4)

HABD is seeking HOPEVI funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to revitalize the Tuxedo Court community, located at 2035 Ave Q Ensley Birmingham, AL 35218.   In developing the HOPEVI Grant application, HABD believes that the community input and partnerships are the most critical elements to its success.  Residents, public officials, local businesses, school board members, college administrators, faith-based organizations, foundations, etc. are encouraged to attend the meetings to provide input ot the process.  All residents of Tuxedo Court and their children ages 16-21 are especially encouraged to attend the meetings to learn more about the HOPEVI process and participate in the new community.
